Pike Sets the Pace for 2016 Campaign
The employees of Pike Industries have again demonstrated their support for the community through Granite United Way’s annual campaign.
As the first major spring 'Pace-Setter' campaign in New Hampshire, Pike always 'paves the way' for others to follow in the fall fundraising season while also making an important difference in the lives of those in the New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont communities they serve.
Pike Industries also incentivizes their employees to give by matching every donation dollar for dollar, thereby doubling the impact of their employees’ gifts in their efforts to build stronger local communities. The company also holds an annual golf tournament, with raffle proceeds going to Granite United Way.
The combined Pike employee and company’s corporate gift totaled over $91,000 this year. Those funds will be invested in local communities throughout the Pike Industries footprint.
“Our employees are comprised of some of the hardest working individuals in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. I am proud to lead this team that has demonstrated such a strong commitment to their communities,” said Christian Zimmermann, President of Pike Industries. “I am so impressed that our employees reached into their pockets to help solve real issues in our communities.”
Zimmermann is a long time supporter who recently joined the Granite United Way Board of Directors, and he works alongside Deb Keith, their Employee Campaign Coordinator, to ensure the campaign’s success. Keith is a member of Granite United Way’s campaign cabinet for the Central region and was the recipient of the 2015 Employee Campaign Coordinator Award in recognition of her efforts last year. Zimmermann has also been very hands-on with the campaign starting with an endorsement at Pike’s annual spring start up meetings. Another Pike employee, Larry Major, serves on the Community Impact Committee (CIC) which helps guide the local community investments of United Way funds in the Central Region.
Pike Industries has been partnering with United Way for decades and their efforts have improved the lives of thousands during that time. During Granite United Way’s 2013 Central Region Celebration Pike was presented with an award for a thousand percent increase in 10 years and they have also been a recipient of the Nightswander-Chertok Award for their campaign success.
“Pike Industries has consistently ranked in our top 5 employee campaigns here in the Central Region,” said Kevin Conway of Granite United Way. “They’ve been a valued partner of United Way for decades, raising funds and providing volunteers both on leadership committees and Day of Caring, and each year they strive to increase the impact they are making. We are honored to have a partner like them in this community.”
