Granite United Way Volunteer Opportunities

Lesson Assistant Volunteers are typically seen in the barn and arena helping with our lesson horses and students. Volunteers will work alongside students as they learn to brush and tack horse,or will prepare horses prior to lessons. Then, volunteers join students in the riding arena as needed to assist our BITS lesson instructors. We need reliable volunteers to ensure each of our kiddos' lessons are a success! Training is provided, but horse experience is always a plus!

Acting/memorization skills not required; you will have a script to refer to, as a guide or playing the role of a dear, departed citizen of Dover NH. As a role player, bring former residents of Dover back to life and regale patrons with tales of mirth, woe, and amazement! You might lift your voice as a strong woman who accomplished remarkable feats, an entrepreneurial businessman, a tragic soul, or an intrepid early colonial settler.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) provides free tax preparation for low to moderate income individuals and households. We are looking for volunteers willing to become certified in tax preparation to support and grow our availability at our Manchester, NH -MPAL site. Training and certifications are free and there is a Site Coordinator at each location to guide and support you through the process.
