Bike-Walk Alliance of NH Board Members and Committee Members

Bike-Walk Alliance of New Hampshire, the state's education and advocacy organization that promotes biking and walking, is expanding its board of directors and committee structure to carry out its strategy to get more people biking and walking and to provide safer biking and walking conditions. Biking and walking are great for public health and the environment (reducing trips by car), but so much needs to be done to make streets and roads safer and to provide more trails. Our board and committee members advocate on the national, state, and local levels, and provide training to cyclists, drivers, and pedestrians. Come join us!

SEE Science Center Eclipse at Arms Park
April 8th from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Arms Park, 10 Arms St, Manchester, NH

The SEE Science Center will be hosting a free public eclipse viewing event on April 8th, 2024. At this event the Science Center will have multiple free safe viewing options for the public to watch the partial eclipse that will block 94.5% of the sun in Manchester. SEE is seeking volunteers to help man activity tables to help the public better understand and engage with the cool science behind the eclipse.

Mayhew Program Volunteer Day: Island Clean Up!
May 10th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
293 West Shore Road, Bristol, NH

Come pitch in this spring to help open camp and prep the Island for the summer program! Work may include raking, removing debris, building maintenance, cleaning, painting, dock work, and more. All tools will be provided. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes or boots, bring your own work gloves, and come dressed for a day of getting dirty!

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers. Join us as we pack up the donations collected by the letter carriers in Merrimack County, and prepare boxes to be picked up by the NH Food Bank for distribution to local food pantries.
