Granite United Way Receives Highest Ratings from Charity Evaluators
Granite United Way is pleased to announce that it has been rated a 4-Star Charity by Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator and a Platinum Level Participant by Candid / GuideStar.
These ratings reflect sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency earning Granite United Way the highest possible ratings with both watchdog organizations.
“We are honored to be recognized by third-party accreditations like Charity Navigator and Candid,” said Patrick Tufts, President and CEO of Granite United Way. “These are the highest ratings a nonprofit can achieve and we seeing our dedication to transparency and efficiency reflected in these ratings is a direct tribute to our commitment to excellence.”
Ratings like Charity Navigator and Candid / GuideStar are one of the ways donors determine where to invest their charitable dollars. Because both ratings systems are independent, they offer an objective analysis of the nonprofit work.
“Our supporters look to these indicators as confirmation of the trust they have in our organization,” said Nichole Reimer, Chief Engagement Officer. “Granite United Way has begun rolling out their Board-led Strategic Plan and these ratings are data-driven recognition of the work we are doing.”
Scores for these ratings evaluated using data including accountability, transparency, community, leadership and impact. Both Charity Navigator and Candid / GuideStar provide unbiased analysis of thousands of nonprofits across the world.
“Granite United Way’s coveted 4-star rating (Charity Navigator) and Platinum Participant (Candid / GuideStar) puts it in a very select group of high-performing charities,” said Tufts, “We are pleased to be recognized by such rigorous standards.”
