Concord Group Insurance and United Way Strengthen Communities Across New England

In 2025, Concord Group Insurance partnered with United Ways across New England to make a lasting difference for their neighbors.
Employees participated in several Lunch and Learns about local community challenges. These discussions, covering housing stability, childhood education, food insecurity, and family well-being, inspired employees to directly support nonprofits working on these issues.
By year's end, employees raised $12,655, matched dollar-for-dollar by Concord Group Insurance for a total impact of $25,310.
This support fueled more than 15 months of engagement and giving across five states, demonstrating that small actions, multiplied by many hands, create tangible impact in the lives of many.
Compassion in Action
Concord Group Insurance held several community drives throughout the year, collecting and donating hundreds of essential items, from food and coats to school supplies and care kits.
These collections were donated directly to local nonprofits on the front lines of community support, including Webster House Children's Home, Meals on Wheels, Concord Coalition to End Homelessness, Community Action Program (CAP), and others.
Keeping Communities Warm
Over the winter, employees collected winter coats and warm clothing for a total impact of $3,213 ($161 VT, $1,256 ME, $607 MA, $1,189 NH).
"The Clothing and Coat Drive provided our residents with essential winter clothing and coats, ensuring they stayed warm while also reminding them that their community truly cares. For many of our residents who arrive with very little, this generosity offers comfort, confidence, and a powerful sense of belonging."

Fighting Hunger Close to Home
In the spring, employees donated several boxes of shelf-stable food and matched their value with cash gifts totaling $849 (VT $57, ME $393, MA $108, NH $291) to support Meals on Wheels. These donations helped increase pantry bag deliveries for homebound adults who depend on these essentials between their first referral and meal delivery.
"Concord Group Insurance was essential in ensuring no one in our neighborhood goes hungry."

Empowering Educators & Students
Over the summer, employees helped equip more than 2,000 teachers and school staff and 11,000 students with essential supplies on day one of the school year for a total impact of $1,240 ($154 VT, $101 MA, $400 NH, $585 ME).
"Every donation, large or small, directly supported teachers by reducing their out-of-pocket expenses and made a meaningful, district-wide impact."

Meeting Basic Needs with Dignity
In the fall, employees assembled 450 care kits (total value of $5,245) with cold weather supplies for Concord Coalition to End Homelessness and Community Action Program's clients experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
"These donations ensured basic needs were better met for unsheltered community members and allowed individuals to address immediate needs with dignity while also reducing risky coping behaviors."

Delivering Joy Through Toys
During the holidays, employees helped shop for holiday gifts for more than 250 children in foster care for a total impact of $2,833 (VT $295, ME $1,015, MA $484, NH $1,039).
"The Christmas gifts were an absolute hit with the kids! The donors did a really nice job shopping and these gifts absolutely helped make the kids' holiday special."
