Day of Caring Events are record breaking!
Granite United Way kicked off its Day of Caring events and its annual campaign this September.
Our Day of Caring events have once again exceeded our expectations! Local nonprofits across the regions had submitted ‘wish lists’ of projects to be completed – everything from painting and landscaping to office work and help at equine facilities. Granite United Way staff helped match up corporate teams and community volunteers to provide the 'sweat equity' needed.
Totals are on pace to break all of the annual records – engaging more than 1,600 volunteers from over 115 companies and 100 local nonprofits.
“Any nonprofit organization is invited to submit a project for Day of Caring. Companies and community members volunteer to help out with projects that many nonprofits don’t have the people power to do,” said Val Guy, Area Director for Merrimack County and Day of Caring coordinator. “This event continues to grow with the support of our corporate partners and community volunteers.”
