Granite United Way and Chaos & Kindness Partner to Keep Families Warm This Winter
This fall, Granite United Way partnered with Chaos and Kindness for a unique coat drive that brought warmth and joy to communities across New Hampshire.
Known for their commitment to spreading joy and positivity, Chaos and Kindness hosted a one-of-a-kind coat drive as they performed their way from Mount Washington all the way down the state—and then back up—ending at their CAKE Theater in Laconia. Along their journey, they called on communities to donate coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, collecting over 1,000 winter clothing items for individuals and families in need.
When it came time to get the coats in the hands of those that need them most, Chaos and Kindness connected with Granite United Way to partner for their distribution event at their CAKE Theater. We were able to amplify their outreach, promote the event, and rally the volunteers- all within a couple of days.
Events like this are not possible without the support of the community. We rallied generous volunteers from our partners at the Community College System of NH and the Maynard House. They donated their time to organize coats, help individuals and families find the coats they need, and stuffed informational packets that will be distributed out to schools.
This partnership highlights the power of collaboration and the impact we can create when organizations, volunteers, and communities come together for a common cause. Granite United Way is deeply grateful for the partnership with Chaos and Kindness. Together, we’re building stronger, warmer, and more connected communities!
