Granite United Way Goes Over the Edge

Rapelling 24 stories from the Brady Sullivan building in downtown Manchester might not be on the top of Chief Dan Goonan and Chris Hickey’s summer bucket list, but as a member of Granite United Way’s team they are more than willing to support Safe Station.
Granite United Way is partnering with United Way of Greater Nashua to host “LIVE UNITED Over the Edge” fundraiser where teams of 7 rapellers take the plunge from the top of the Brady Sullivan building to raise funds for local charities. The event will take place on Friday, July 28, 2017 on top of the Brady Sullivan building on Elm Street in Manchester.
Granite United Way’s team is comprised of volunteers from the fire department, the New Hampshire Union Leader, Texas Instruments, Central Paper Products and Granite United Way, including Patrick Tufts, President and CEO.
“We’re excited to be partnering with United Way of Greater Nashua to help raise funds for important services. Our team is directing our donations to Safe Station, the innovative program that has become a model for other cities, including Nashua.” Said Patrick Tufts, President and CEO of Granite United Way. “I have actually rapelled down the Brady Sullivan building before for an event and know that it’s going to be a fun challenge for all of the teams!”
“It’s going to be a fun event to participate in,” said Chief Dan Goonan. “I’m getting geared up for and so is Chris Hickey – we are going to have fun with this!”
