Safe Station Expanding Across NH
Granite United Way's 211NH call center has expanded its work to partner with the Manchester Fire Department, Mayor Ted Gatsas and Hope for NH Recovery to bring Safe Station to reality. This effort launched in May 2016 and has proven to be an effective tool in connecting individuals with critical recovery services. There have been several stories about the impact this new approach has made including this article.
This week the town of Auburn also joined in the effort. You can read more about that here.
Safe Station is a great example of working together to make access available to those needing it. Other community partners like Serenity Place, Easter Seals NH, Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, Phoenix House, Child & Family Services and Makin it Happen are also working in tandem with programs like Safe Station to increase access and help our neighbors. No one organization can solve this problem, and we are proud to be part of the bigger solution.
If you, or someone you know, is seeking recovery services, call 211 from any phone in New Hampshire, 24 hours a day.
