Mourning the Loss of Gary Long, our Board of Directors Chair
The staff and volunteers at Granite United Way are sad to share the news of the sudden loss of Gary Long, the Chair of our Board of Directors, this past Friday, August 8th. Gary was truly a great leader, both in his work as President of PSNH and in the community. Gary's dedication to our organization and the community was genuine. In addition to his volunteer work he was a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society and a Loyal Contributor. As our Board Chair, Gary inspired us as he spearheaded Granite United Way's Strategic Plan. His boundless enthusiasm, dedication and focus on collaborative opportunities blazed the trail for the goals we've embarked on. In that spirit, we will honor Gary's legacy and are committed to continuing the work he initiated. We will always remember him as a visionary leader, a thoughtful advocate and most importantly, as a loyal friend. Please join us as we extend our thoughts and deepest sympathy to the entire Long family during this difficult time.
