Youth Venture believes that there is no greater way to change the world than to increase the number of people in society who have the skills, empathy, and confidence to lead needed change. To increase the number of young social changemakers, Youth Venture inspires and invests in young people ages 12-20 to create, launch and lead their own community-benefiting clubs, initiatives or organizations – Ventures. Venture Teams address a wide range of issues, including but not limited to the arts, the environment, health, poverty, and education. Since it's creation in 1996, Youth Venture has helped over 4,000 young adults in 19 countries realize their full potential for change in the world.
In 2010, the Upper Valley office of Granite United Way entered into a partnership to bring the Youth Venture program to the area. Assisting in this pilot year is Nikki Hayden, an Americorps *VISTA member, who will work out of the United Way office as she works to integrate the program into the local community.
2-1-1 is an easy to remember phone number that connects people in need of health and human services.

By dialing 2-1-1, callers are connected, at no cost, with a trained information and referral specialist who can provide them with the information they need to get help or give help. This service is available 365 days a years, 24 hours a day and all calls are confidential and multilingual.
2-1-1 NH is run in partnership with the United Way of NH and Public Service of New Hampshire, who generously provides in-kind services of space, utilities and technology at their state of the art call center. 2-1-1 Vermont is run in partnership with the United Ways of Vermont.
